John Gotze is yet another of these Links-fans who plays around with 'mods'.
XMLization! is a mod that dynamically creates RSS/XML-feeds based on searches, categories, etc.
The Links Bookmarklet Builder creates a great tool for Links editors. Adding new links to your database has never been easier! No cgi-editing needed!
The mods presented here are all used over at Democr@cy Booksforum.
Linksmazon (.txt) - is a guide to getting started with a basic Amazon Associate Links-Supported System. It requires a book's ISBN-number to be defined and used in links.def. [Template Support / Untested in Non-Template Mode].
Amazcher (.txt) - a how-to-do guide to adding a "Search for books about [category] on Amazon". Using standard Maxcomm's Amazon searcher. Works in any Links system (should work without templates, but untested).
Bestzoniser (.txt) - a hack of Maxcomm 100 script to grab bestseller-pages in specialised categories (for example, currrent Amazon-bestsellers about "Wired Culture and Government"). Play around with the regular expressions in the script and you get it .-)
LastLink (.txt) - want to show the most recent addition(s) to you database on the Home Page? Now release 1.99 which can show X links (X a number of your choice). Widgetz helped with both this and version 1.0 - thanks Widgetz! See the mod in action at http://www.links.gotzespace.dk
NEW: LastLinks on homepage and in a seperate lastlinks.html file is LastLink2.0. In addition to getting X links on your homepage, you can build a special page
with Y new links. This page is suitable for pulling into other pages by SSI, and can easily be formatted in a different way than normal links.
